"The interaction with entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley is an enriching experience, not just in the process of raising venture capital, but to understand the market and share best business practices", says Juan Lehmann, partner at Vurbia Technologies, and ex president of the Graduates Association of San Andrés's University. His company was one of the sponsors of the last year visit with Palermo Valley, and this year they are preparing for another visit. Founded in 2009 with input from an angel investor for U$S 1 million with the aim of providing Infrastructure Services on demand (IaaS) in the cloud, the company expects to close 2011 with a turnover of U$S 1 million. "We are now entering a second phase, which we expect to close a second capitalization round", says Lehmann. "The trip was very positive to us because there exists a more evolved ecosystem and the flow of deals and ventures is well oiled. Visiting Silicon Valley is an inspiring experience that I recommend to any entrepreneur".
